La Chinata Extra Virgin Olive Oil is obtained from a selection of olives harvested in the region of Sierra de Gata, in the Northwest of Cáceres. There, they are selected just the best olive to guarantee the production of the best quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil for our customers.
Olive should be at their optimum ripeness; clean, healthy and without apparent defect.
Our Extra Virgin Olive Oil is basically characterized by 4 factors:
• An intense yellow colour with some traces of green colour.
• A sweet and flat flavour, without spiciness or bitterness characteristic from the Oils from South of Spain. This provides a pleasant taste on the palate that makes the tasting of these virgin oils a great pleasure.
• A very dense ripe fruit aroma.
• A high content in fatty acid content that makes these virgin oils one of the most perfect obtained from the different olive growing areas of Spain.
Sierra de Gata region is known by its olives, aimed, to a larger extent, to direct consumption. We are talking about table olives; known within Spain as “manzanilla cacereña”. They are very similar in texture and taste, which leaves a pleasant aroma on palate.
And, part of this aroma can be appreciated in our EVOO, as we use the smaller ones that can’t be aimed to direct consumption; so La Chinata Extra Virgin Olive Oil inherits their most known virtues and characteristics.
Glass bottle preserves all EVOO properties and it’s important to choose the adequate size according to consumption, for not to store during a long period; as, once open their qualities and taste decreases.
Glass bottle is more comfortable to use at table, as well as present.
